Los Angeles, CA, August 13, 2005 -- The International Special Events Society (ISES) recently presented Jill Moran, CSEP with an Esprit Award for "Best Industry Contribution" for her newly published book, How to Start A Home-based Event Planning Business. ISES, a nearly 4000 member organization, is the leading special events organization dedicated to the professionalism of the events industry. At its annual conference, Eventworld, held here last week, ISES presented awards in 24 categories and honored Moran by making her the 7^th winner of the coveted award. This award is designed to honor an individual, group or event that has contributed to the growth and prestige of the industry.

Jill Moran is a 15-year veteran in the special events industry and principal of her own home-based business, jsmoran & associates, event planning & management in Medfield, Massachusetts. As a first-time author, Moran shares her expertise in her new book, How to Start A Home-based Event Planning Business, published in April 2004. In the book, Moran offers advice about creating a professional home-based business, business marketing and planning, vendor selection as well as ways to acquire training, education and certification in the special events industry. Over 12,000 copies have been sold of How to Start A Home-based Event Planning Business and is available online at such sites as Amazon and Barnes and Nobles as well as Barnes and Nobles retail locations.
