 Jill Moran, CSEP Nominated for International Special Events Society 2009 ESPRIT Award

Chicago, Illinois, June 12, 2009 – Jill Moran, event planner, author and lifestyle expert of jsmoran special event planning & management, today announced that the firm is a nominee for the prestigious International Special Events Society (ISES) 2009 Esprit Awards in the “Best Wedding” category for their event, Butterfly Magic. The nominated event was a wedding celebration, featuring a reception in a historic estate and loggia with a butterfly release in the gardens, followed by dinner and dancing in a nearby tent.  Butterfly images graced the wedding cake, escort cards and favors to carry the event’s theme.

ISES honors industry excellence every year through the ISES Esprit Awards, fueling a spirit of competition within designated categories. The Awards program is designed to acknowledge the extraordinary efforts, performance and outstanding contributions of ISES members in special event planning.  For the winners, ISES Esprit Awards help them to gain global visibility and recognition while advancing industry standards internationally for the Society and promoting industry and member professionalism.

Los Angeles, CA, August 13, 2005 -- The International Special Events Society (ISES) recently presented Jill Moran, CSEP with an Esprit Award for "Best Industry Contribution" for her newly published book, How to Start A Home-based Event Planning Business. ISES, a nearly 4000 member organization, is the leading special events organization dedicated to the professionalism of the events industry. At its annual conference, Eventworld, held here last week, ISES presented awards in 24 categories and honored Moran by making her the 7^th winner of the coveted award. This award is designed to honor an individual, group or event that has contributed to the growth and prestige of the industry.

Jill Moran is a 15-year veteran in the special events industry and principal of her own home-based business, jsmoran & associates, event planning & management in Medfield, Massachusetts. As a first-time author, Moran shares her expertise in her new book, How to Start A Home-based Event Planning Business, published in April 2004. In the book, Moran offers advice about creating a professional home-based business, business marketing and planning, vendor selection as well as ways to acquire training, education and certification in the special events industry.
